Applewoods Dog Training’s 6-Week Beginner/Novice Course is a private, one-on-one training program with a AKC-certified trainer. This introductory dog training program is for canines of all ages, including those with behavior or aggression issues that may not be a fit for group classes.
We use a proven, balanced, layer-upon-layer methodology. No clickers, treats, or toys… just old-fashioned and incredibly effective training. Dogs trained at Applewoods learn to think and are given the privilege of taking responsibility for their behavior while, at the same, time learn emotional and physical self-control.
The 6-week Beginner/Novice course includes access to our online training forums, one piece of training equipment, and will prepare you for the AKC/CGC Test and Beginner Novice Obedience Title.
This is a fast-paced curriculum with LOTS of homework… be prepared! Lessons must be completed within 10 weeks of start date.
This course will cover:
- Sit, Sit/Stay
- Stand, Stand/Stay
- Down, Down/Stay
- Place (go to your spot)
A 10-week course is also available for those seeking a journey to an off-leash lifestyle.
