Due to the Covid-19 outbreak and to support the safety and health of the overall community, Applewoods has paused registration for all Group classes until it is safe to resume. Private instruction is available on a case-by-case basis with our “Back to Work” instructional DVD available for order for self-training.
Now that you have learned the basics in our Elementary Class, you are ready to continue your journey to an off-leash lifestyle by signing up for Applewoods’ Middle School Class program. This 6-week course further builds your relationship with your dog, extending sit/stays, precision heeling, and expanding the Come command to a full recall from further distances. Confidence skills are boosted and true teamwork can be fostered between the dog and it’s handler.
Following completion, the Middle School Class opens the gateway to other amazing Applewoods programs including our AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification, invite-only Utility programs, Retrieve Lessons, Continuing Education classes, private dog park access, and Applewoods’ dog-friendly social events.
Graduation from our Elementary Class and/or instructor approval is a prerequisite to enrollment.
During this class, your dog will learn:
- Refined Heeling
- Stand, Stand/Stay
- Down, Down/Stay
- Recall (come when called)
Class will begin on the scheduled date as long as there are at least 3 students. Registration closes 5 days before the first class date.
Please contact our Training Coordinator, Elice Shelton at Elice@applewoodsdogtraining.com or by phone at 410-266-7805 for any questions or concerns.
